David De Gea could continue his career in Arabia as Al-Ettifaq are reportedly preparing a bid for the Spanish goalkeeper.

Steven Gerrard’s side are leading the race to sign the former Manchester United star.

The English medium, The Sun , has reported that other Saudi League clubs are interested in his services and are expected to make a move after the opening of the January transfer window.

De Gea has been a free agent since leaving United in the summer after 12 years at the club. He had previously been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, with Al-Nassr reported to have offered him a contract.

It was believed that De Gea has benefited somewhere around 375,000 euros per week at “Old Trafford” and is expected to be paid even more if he accepts the move to the Middle East, where many well-known football names are already part of it.

The 33-year-old is likely to be ‘flooded’ by offers as his quality is already known and it remains to be seen where he will decide to continue the rest of his career.
