Francesco Camarda’s parents were filled with emotion as their son took to the pitch for his Milan debut in the win against Fiorentina.
Despite the Rossoneri holding a narrow 1-0 lead and Fiorentina pushing hard for an equaliser, coach Pioli decided to bring Camardan into the game in the 84th minute.
At just 15 years and 260 days old, the forward became the youngest debutant in Serie A history.
The previous record holder was Wisdom Amey. He was 15 years and 274 days old when he played his first match for Bologna in May 2021, as reported by Sky Sport Italia.
As the announcer called Camarda’s name and the crowd cheered, the camera captured Camarda’s parents, especially his mother, who couldn’t hold back tears of joy.
Milan’s 1-0 win against Fiorentina ended their recent winless streak and kept them in third place in the league. They are now five points behind Inter, who lead the league.
