Inter are preparing for a tough clash with Walter Mazzarri’s Napoli and still cannot count on Benjamin Pavard and Alessandro Bastoni.
The Nerazzurri are just two points ahead of rivals Juventus so far in week 14 of the season, having failed to take a commanding lead following a 1-1 draw in the Derby d’Italia last weekend.
Simone Inzaghi rotated his Inter squad heavily for their Champions League tie with Benfica, aware of the importance of their clash with Napoli, who appear to have found new life following the sacking of Rudi Garcia and the arrival of Mazzarri.
According to Tuttomercatoweb , Bastoni is still recovering from the calf injury he suffered in Italy’s training camp and will not be available for Inter’s upcoming match against Napoli.
He will slowly return to work on the pitch in the coming days and is likely to be in the squad to face Udinese on December 9.
Pavard recently injured his knee and has started running again, showing positive signs in his recovery.
It will be around three weeks before he is back in the squad and the hope is that he will be fit to face Lecce on December 23.
