Unai Emery and Emi Martinez believe Aston Villa are in the Premier League title race after back-to-back wins over Man City and Arsenal.
He added that his team dominated against Man City, while admitting that they struggled for 85 minutes against the Gunners.
First it was coach Unai Emery who after the match said that Aston Villa is in the race for the title.
“We are in the race for the title. I can talk more about this. We can now be happy, excited and motivated to win it [the title],” declared the Spaniard.
The same question was asked of Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez and the Argentine was equally optimistic about his side’s chances.
“Yes, yes, of course [we are in the title race]. When you beat Man City and Arsenal in the same week, one game controls them like I’ve never seen Man City controlled, then we struggled against Arsenal for 85 minutes and managed to win again…. I believe, I am a believer”, declared the Argentinian goalkeeper.
Aston Villa is in third place with 35 points, two less than Liverpool who is the leader.
