Leo Messi reveals the best line-up with players he has played with – he scorns the likes of Henry and Pique

Speaking to Goal Arabia, Lionel Messi has named the best XI made up of his former teammates.

Although most of the choices are not surprising at all, some of them may seem strange to Barca fans, especially when you see who has been overlooked.

Some fans may be surprised to see Javier Mascherano instead of Gerard Pique, but Messi’s compatriot played a key role in Argentina’s run to the 2014 World Cup finals, which is why he has been selected.

However, the biggest surprise is Kylian Mbappe, taking his place ahead of Thierry Henry.

Mbappe is the only player in the XI who has never played for Barcelona.

Goalkeeper: Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Defenders: Dani Alves, Javier Mascherano, Carles Puyol, Jordi Alba

Midfielders: Xavi, Andres Iniesta, Ronaldinho

Strikers: Neymar Jr, Kylian Mbappe, Luis Suarez
