Lionel Messi close to signing new Barcelona contract – vice president

Leo Messi will continue his contract with Barcelona, which expires in 2018.
Yesterday was reported by Catalan media that Leo Messi has refused to continue his contract with Barcelona.

But just a day later, Barcelona’s vice president Jordi Mestre said they are in the final phase about contract renewal with Messi.

“The truth is that we are in the final phase and very soon we will finalize and extend  Messi’s contract,” Mestre told reporters.
