Leo Messi is upset with Real Madrid’s success this season and fears that Cristiano Ronaldo will win the Ballon d’Or again
Barcelona star Leo Messi had a fantastic season with Barcelona, scoring 54 goals in 52 games, but in the end managed to win only Copa del Rey, failing in La Liga and the Champions League.
To make this even worse, Real Madrid wrote history, winning La Liga, and becoming the first team to win Champons League twice in row.
Most credited for Real Madrid success was his greatest rival, Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored 10 goals in the quarterfinal, semifinal and final.
From these appearances Messi believes that Ronaldo will win the Ballon d’Or, equalizing him with five awards.
But, according to Goal, Messi for these Real Madrid achievements blames coach Luis Enrique, who made the wrong decisions in the main matches of the season.
Messi believes that Jeremy Mathieu should not have played against Malaga and Juventus, the games that costed him the loss of both titles.
The Argentine already hopes that these mistakes will not be made with new coach Ernesto Valverde.
