Mourinho accused of tax evasion

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has been accused of defrauding the Spanish tax system of €3.3m, say reports in Spain.

According to national newspaper El Pais, prosecutors say the Portuguese Coach has not paid €3,304,670 (€1,611,537 in 2011 and €1,693,133 the following year) during his spell at Real Madrid.

The reports, which broke on Tuesday morning were then followed up by Cadena Cope with the reports linking the alleged tax evasion to the current case of Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 54-year-old managed Los Blancos for three years, between 2010 and 2013, before going on to manage both Chelsea and United in England.
