Reports: Messi Doesn’t Want This Player At Barca

FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi is reportedly unhappy with the expected arrival of this player at the Camp Nou.

The Spanish giants have been heavily linked with their former player Gerard Deulofeu, who spent the second half of the 2016/17 campaign on loan at AC Milan from Everton.

According to Don Balon, Messi is not pleased with his club’s attempts to lure the Spaniard back to Barca as he feels they should be focusing on the possible marquee signings of Marco Verratti and Hector Bellerin instead.

The Argentine is believed to share concerns with fans that the Catalan club needs to strengthen in central midfield and at right back – a position midfielder Sergi Roberto occupied for the much of last season.

Deulofeu would seemingly be brought in as back-up for the right-hand side of the club’s attack, which might see Messi playing in a deeper role.

Barca Identify Verratti Alternative?

The 23-year-old made six appearances for the Blaugrana’s first team after graduating from the club’s famous La Masia academy, and has since played for Sevilla, Everton and Milan.
