Barcelona not giving up!

Barcelona are reportedly not giving up on Marco Verratti, despite his apology to Paris Saint-Germain, but will take their pursuit “slowly”.

Verratti apologised to PSG on Friday evening after his agent remarked the midfielder was “a prisoner of the Emir” that owned the French club.

However, Mundo Deportivo notes the Italian “was probably forced” to say sorry and “at no time” said he would definitely stay in Paris or reject Barca’s interest.

Consequently, the Catalans “have taken a step back with the intention of taking two forward”, knowing “they must be patient” as the transfer window does not shut until August 31.
