Inter bid €57m for Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal, but he turned it down because of his Juventus past, claim Chilean media.

The 30-year-old spent four years in Turin before he was sold to Bayern for €37m in 2015.

According to El Mercurio newspaper, the Nerazzurri put forward a proposal worth €57m to tempt Vidal back to Serie A.

However, it’s reported he turned them down, as it would mean going against his past bond with Juventus.

It seems likely that Vidal will extend his current contract in Germany, which expires in 2019, and accept a 20 per cent pay cut.

Vidal spent most of his career in the Bundesliga, featuring for Bayer Leverkusen from 2007 to 2011.
