Real Madrid forward to fight for his place at the club

Chelsea target Alvaro Morata vows to fight for Real Madrid place.

Antonio Conte’s pursuit of another attack puissance has hit rock bottom with Alvaro Morata pledging to fight for his place at Real Madrid.

The Spanish international surfaced as Conte’s leading target after failing to land former Everton and now Manchester United star, Romelu Lukaku.

Chelsea’s quest to add another hitman with Diego Costa’s exit talks up in the air has suffered a huge blow. The Blues were set to make a gauging £62 million offer for the 24-year-old before vowing to fight for his place in the starting Xl.

The newlywed returned to pre-season practice this week, while also holding talks regarding his future with Madrid’s boss Zinedine Zidane.

Zidane has been on record stating he prefers Karim Benzema over Morata when healthy, but the Spaniard’s eager to prove his boss’ wrong.

Morata is a phenomenal young talent that has lots of potentials, but this current Real Madrid squad is built around one player at the moment and that’s Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo favors Benzema because of his versatility to play multiple positions, while Morata is your typical No. 9 who often leads on others to create him chances.

Although Morata can grow into what Benzema is now, he’s better off going to another club. The French striker is only 29-years-old and has established himself, while scoring more than 100 goals for the club.

Can Morata succeed with the Blues? Absolutely. Costa arrived at Stamford Bridge as a 25-year-old and lit the league up with 20 goals.

Indeed the two Spanish forwards playing style are different with Costa being more determined and a powerful specimen. Morata’s certainly capable of these things, but consistency and game time are key for the Real Madrid striker reaching his full potential.
