Isco to Barcelona: Real Madrid star threatens transfer if Eden Hazard arrives

Real Madrid are refusing to rest on their laurels despite scooping La Liga and the Champions League last season.

Zinedine Zidane’s side have already wrapped up a deal for Theo Hernandez, who arrived from city-rivals Atletico Madrid.

And Los Blancos have also added Dani Cabellos to their ranks, with the winger arriving from Real Betis for £15million.

Despite signing two players, Real Madrid continue to be linked with a move for Eden Hazard.

Reports last week claimed they had told Chelsea they could sign Alvaro Morata – but only if Hazard was included as part of a deal.

And Spanish outlet Diario Gol claims any move for the Belgium international would not sit well with Isco.

The Spain playmaker impressed in the final stages of last season and even started the 4-1 Champions League final win over Juventus instead of Gareth Bale.

The report claims that Isco has grown tired of failing to be a regular at the club and knows any Hazard deal would thrust him firmly down the pecking order.

And the former Malaga star is also worried about what a deal for Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe would also mean for him.

Instead of departing immediately, the report claims, he would instead bide his time and join Barcelona for free in 12 months time.

Isco’s contract expires next summer and, as of yet, he is yet to pen an extension.

Barcelona are determined to sign a central midfielder and have retained an interest in Isco ever since the January transfer window.

Should he make the move, he will be the first player since Javier Saviola to cross the divide.
