Manchester United will demand Toni Kroos as part of any deal to sell David De Gea to Real Madrid this summer, say reports
Jose Mourinho will demand Toni Kroos as part of any deal which would see Real Madrid sign David De Gea this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is claiming that the Spanish side are set to step up their attempts to sign De Gea this summer, two years after their failed move to land the shot-stopper.
It is claimed that Real Madrid are getting ready to make a new £50m bid for De Gea as they look to lure the goalkeeper back to his native homeland.
However, the same report claims that Mourinho will demand Germany international Kroos as part of a deal to sell De Gea to the Spanish club this summer.
The story says Real Madrid would be reluctant to let Kroos leave the Bernabeu this summer, however, just as Manchester United do not want to sell De Gea.
Real Madrid and Manchester United are set to play each other in what could be a feisty Uefa Super Cup clash on 8 August.
Manchester United are gearing up for a return to the Champions League next season after having won the Europa League in Mourinho’s first campaign last term.
