As expected, Wesley Sneijder has agreed terms with Napoli’s Champions League opponents Nice, pending a medical.
The Ligue 1 club announced the deal this evening, having agreed personal terms.
The 34-year-old Dutchman is a free agent after his contract with Galatasaray was terminated early by mutual consent.
Sneijder flew in this evening to finalise the details with Nice directors and he’ll sign a one-year contract after his medical.
This means he will very likely be in the squad when Nice face Napoli in the Champions League play-off.
The first leg is at the Stadio San Paolo on August 16, with the decider in France on August 22.
