PSG ‘seal’ sensational swoop for Kylian Mbappe

Just wow. Out of nowhere, it’s being reported by reliable sources in Spain that Paris Saint-Germain have agreed on a deal with Monaco for their young prodigy, Kylian Mbappe.

Marca’s Marcos López has, this afternoon, written that PSG and Monaco have already come to agreement on the terms of the transfer and that the contract is now being looked over by the club’s lawyers.

The Parisians have agreed to match the fee of £180m that Real Madrid had agreed with the principality club and will now gazump their European rivals.

It will come as a big blow to Florentino Perez who had spent all summer lining up the deal. Los Blancos’ president had been interviewed after Tuesday’s UEFA Super Cup win over Manchester United, and, when asked about the Mbappe deal, didn’t sound optimistic.

Once the deal is officially rubber stamped, it will take PSG’s summer spending spree close to the £400m mark, with a move for Atletico Madrid goalkeeper, Jan Oblak also rumoured to be in the works.

Apparently, the other European super clubs are said to be privately furious over the Ligue 1 giant’s profligate spending this summer – nothing to do with the fact that both players have directly involved Barcelona and Real, obviously.

More details are due to emerge regarding the Mbappe deal in the next few hours and days. Watch this space.
