Napoli reject €60 million Barcelona bid

The search for Neymar’s replacement goes on and Barcelona are searching far and wide. Although Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele are their main targets, the Catalan giants are keeping tabs on several other players.

One of those players is Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne. At 5’4, Insigne is a player who would make Lionel Messi look tall. But his small stature hasn’t prevented him from becoming one of Serie A’s biggest stars.

He scored 20 goals in all competitions last season and had a pass completion rate of 86%.

With statistics like that, it’s little wonder that Insigne was considered Barcelona material. La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Napoli rejected a €60 million bid for their star. They added that he wasn’t for sale.

If Barca sign Coutinho or Dembele, they’ll pay well over €100m for each player.

A bid in that region would make Napoli consider selling the 26-year-old Italy international.
