FIFA 18’s Top 100: EA Reveal the Best Players for the Upcoming Release (Photo)

As the countdown to September 29 continues, the latest round of player ratings for the eagerly anticipated FIFA 18 have been released.

EA Sports have revealed more statistics attributed to some of the best players on the game, including Antoine Griezmann, Gareth Bale, Alexis Sanchez and David de Gea.

Here are the players ranked from 20th to 11th as the revealing of the game’s best player approaches.

10. Antoine Griezmann (88)

After having a quieter season in front of goal during the 2016-17 season, Griezmann maintains the 88 rating he was awarded in last year’s edition.

The France international managed 16 La Liga goals last term, having netted 22 apiece in his previous two campaigns.

9. Thibaut Courtois (89)

One of the main figures in Chelsea’s Premier League title-winning team, the former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper stays at an 89 rating.

The Belgian’s diving has been increased by one point, while his reflexes have been reduced by another solitary rating.

8. Sergio Aguero (89)

The Manchester City striker had a weird campaign last time out, finishing the year with 20 Premier League goals but finding himself playing second fiddle to Gabriel Jesus.

FIFA have therefore decided to award the Argentinian the same card as last year, with Aguero’s pace rating dropping by two points.

7. Gareth Bale (89)

Bale had a horrible year with injuries as Real Madrid won La Liga and the Champions League and FIFA have been unforgiving in dropping the Welshman’s rating by one.

The former Tottenham winger will be hoping to regain his 90 rating next year with improved displays for Los Blancos this season.

6. Giorgio Chiellini (89)

Giorgio Chiellini’s influence in Juventus’ defence has been acknowledged by FIFA this year, with the Italian seeing his rating increase by a single point.

After winning the Serie A title and helping the Old Lady reach the Champions League final, Chiellini’s defending stays at an impressive 90 while his dribbling and pace have improved.

5. Kevin De Bruyne (89)

de bruyne

The ex-Wolfsburg and Chelsea midfielder is an integral part of Manchester City’s starting XI and his rating has been upped after an impressive 2016-17 season.

With six goals and 18 assists last time out, De Bruyne’s passing has been increased, as well as his shooting and dribbling.

4. Alexis Sanchez (89)

Despite playing the majority of last season up front, Sanchez has been awarded a left midfielder card after his impressive performers for the Gunners.

Sanchez’s shooting, passing, dribbling, defensive and physical attributes have all been improved, while the Chilean’s pace rating stays the same.

3. Gianluigi Buffon (89)

Buffon just keeps getting better with age, as shown by FIFA’s decision to upgrade the Italian by a point heading into what will probably be his last season as a professional footballer.

The 39-year-old’s captain has seen his stats in diving and kicking improve after playing a main role in Juventus’ successful 2016-17 season.

2. Luka Modric (89)

The midfielder was a main part of the Real Madrid side that bagged two trophies last season but his rating remains the same despite an impressive campaign.

Modric is now slightly slower in the game and has lost a physical point, but boasts four star skill moves and a four star weak foot.

1. David de Gea (90)

de gea

The highest rated Premier League goalkeeper in FIFA 18 deservedly goes to Spain international De Gea, who maintains a 90 rating.

Known for his cat-like reflexes, Manchester United’s De Gea sees his diving increased, while his positioning has also gone up.
