Barca have highest wage limit

Barcelona have the highest wage budget in Spanish football for the current campaign, surpassing Real Madrid at the top of the list.

La Liga released the budget figures for every club in the top two leagues in Spain this season, once again highlighting a significant difference between the clubs at the top.

With a €507.2m limit to spend on players, Barca can spend €7.6m more on player budgets than the Spanish and European champions.

However, the two giants total wage budget of €1006m riv als that of their 18 top-flight rivals combined, which comes in at a total of €1067m.

Atletico Madrid (€237.7m), Sevilla (€159.6m), Valencia (€113.2m) and Villarreal (€87.9m) complete the top six, in a gauge which is generally accurate in measuring a club’s predicted league finish.

Getafe (€28.9m) have the lowest limit in the top flight, while Granada (€17.8m) have the highest in La Liga 123, whie Lorca (€3.7m) have the lowest.
