French side Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly looking to sneak ahead of Manchester City and sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal. According to the Dailymail, Neymar had included the Chilean on his “wish list” when the club were in negotiations with him during his move from Barcelona.
Sanchez who is out of contract with Arsenal at the end of the season has refused to sign a new deal with the Gunners and in all probability will leave north London come the end of the end of the campaign.
PSG are all set to offer the 28-year-old around £300,000-a-week as well as a £9 million signing -on fee if he agrees to move in January. This though could become a problem for the club as they would need to sell players in order to balance their books with UEFA already opening an investigation in relation to the club’s transfer activity.
If Sanchez does move, then it is likely that striker Edinson Cavani will be the first to depart despite patching things up with Neymar over their penalty dispute while Julian Draxler too will be on his way out after being deemed surplus to requirements.
PSG have had a brilliant start to the season registering 22 points in eight games in Ligue 1 and are three ahead of second placed Monaco.
