Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani wants to leave the club and join Manchester City after falling out with teammate Neymar claims a report. According to the Don Balon, the 30-year-old is keen to play for the Citizens as he believes that their free flowing style of football would enable him to score more goals then any other club.
The Uruguayan was in the news recently after getting into an argument with Neymar over penalty and free-kick duties during PSG’s 2-0 win over Lyon earlier in the season. While the duo have since made up, reports have emerged that Cavani knows that the club will favour the Brazilian over him and believes that this is the right time to make a move.
Spanish giants Real Madrid are said to be interested in signing the striker in January, but that could depend on the form of Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema while Manchester United’s name has been mentioned as a potential destination.
However, if Dailymail is to be believed then Cavani has made up his mind over his future destination, with the Etihad the most attractive destination. City for their part are yet to comment and with Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus currently scoring goals for fun, it remains to be seen whether manager Pep Guardiola will look to add another striker in the January transfer window.
