Paris Saint-Germain’s Argentinian winger Angel Di Maria has made it clear that he is open to leave the French Ligue 1 giants to join compatriot Lionel Messi at FC Barcelona according to Spanish outlet Don Ballon.
According to the report Di Maria states that “I have never lost hope, but in the end it did not happen. I am a Rosario fan so I could never play for Newell’s Old Boys but aside from that I would be willing to play for all teams” making it clear that his past as a Real Madrid player poses no problem for him to sign for their fiercest rivals in the Primera Division.
According to Don Ballon, Di Maria is very keen on making the move to the Catalan side and has told Messi of his intentions when the two players met after having both been called up by the Argentia national team.
The two players are on very good terms and they reportedly spoke very often this past summer but the deal never materialized. Messi however is aware that such a transfer will be difficult given that the Blaugrana are more keen to sign a midfielder than a winger.
