Problems for Barcelona

Barcelona has problems with the defensive line this season.

Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde can not count for a month on injured Argentinean Javier Mascherano.

Additionally, Samuel Umtiti and Gerard Pique defense pair are just one card away from a one-match suspension, and in case they are booked against Leganes at the weekend, they will be missing on November 26 at Mestalla against Valencia.

Valverde has one option and he is Belgian defender Thomas Vermaelen, who has played very little this season.

Another option of Valverdes is also Barcelona B defender, David Costas.
