“There’s still a question mark over Loris Karius, the goalkeeper, and he’ll have to make saves.

“I see Virgil van Dijk as being Liverpool’s main man defensively for the future and we’ll have a better idea after this final if that’s the case.

“He needs to be at his best to keep Ronaldo and Karim Benzema quiet.

“It will help enormously if Liverpool can score when they’re on top because the game will change. They’re in against good players, who will have their moment.

“It’s how Liverpool deal with that which worries me.”
