Marco Asensio s aid: “We produced a great performance and head home with the Champions League trophy in tow. Every final is always tough. They were quick up top and broke well on the counter. They had clearly analysed us very closely. We overcame that and turned in a fine display.

“It’s amazing. It’s all part of being at this club, you always aim for the best. We’ve won another Champions League crown and can’t wait to get back to Madrid to celebrate it. We’re going to enjoy this triumph and next year we’ll set ourselves some new targets.”
