Dortmund star refuses Manchester United for Arsenal

Sokratis Papastathopoulos has refused Manchester United to join Arsenal, according to his father.
The Greek defender will be the second transfer of Arsenal’s new coach, Unai Emeryn, in the summer transfer window/ The ‘Gunners’ and Borussia Dortmund have reached an agreement worth 18m euros.

“United showed interest for him, but he would have to wait until July for them,” his father, Charalambos Papastathopoluos, said.

“United has a very good relationship with Dortmund, clubs talk but Sokratis chose Arsenal,” he revealed.

He believes his son will succeed, as he says, in the best league in the world.

“He will play at a higher level in the most competitive league in the world and I think he will do well,” he added.
