Brahim Diaz and Vinicius provided the few positives that Real Madrid can take away from their 3-1 defeat to Real Sociedad.

Both youngsters have it all, possessing cheek, joy and the will to win that has evaded many of their teammates during this immensely disappointing season.

Despite Brahim’s solo goal making it a promising start to the game, Los Blancos ended up conceding three, and it could’ve been more.

Thibaut Courtois saved a penalty and Real Sociedad hit the post twice, had a goal disallowed and spurned a number of good chances.

Zinedine Zidane surprised many with his high press that, until Jesus Vallejo’s red card, was causing problems to the hosts when in possession.

Then the energy was lost and it finished like most other away games have done since Zidane’s return to the dugout – in defeat.

Dani Carvajal, Toni Kroos, Casemiro and Marcelo, who was unquestionably at fault for the third goal, went back to underperforming, but this is nothing new.

Zidane is yet to reinvigorate Real Madrid in the ways many expected when he returned to the dugout in March.

However, Brahim and Vinicius are different to the rest.

They’re the only pieces of good news at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and they’re playing so well that their teammates can’t help but blush.
