Nacho: Kubo speaks better Spanish than Real Madrid’s Spaniards

Takefusa Kubo is making quite an impact at Real Madrid during pre-season, both with his footballing ability and his language skills.

Having previously been at Barcelona’s academy, the Japanese prospect’s level of Spanish is very high and Nacho joked that the 18-year-old is even more fluent than the Spaniards in the squad.

“He speaks better than us, I’m telling you,” Nacho said of the youngster.

This was put to Kubo, who remained modest.

“No, of course not,” he said.

Rodrygo Goes also revealed that he has been learning Spanish and that he had three classes per week during his final six months in Brazil.
