Atletico Madrid eye Porto striker

Atletico Madrid and Juventus are both keeping tabs on rising Porto star Fabio Silva, according to a report in Calciomercato.

With 20 goals in 26 games for the under-19 team by, he was called up by manager Sérgio Conceição to train with the first team back in February.

However, Silva only made his first-team debut this season and has appeared as a substitute six times across the league and Europa League, while making one start in the Taca da Liga.

Silva’s father Jorge was a defensive midfielder who won the league title in 2001 for Boavista. and was capped twice by Portugal, while Fabio’s brother – also named Jorge – played for Lazio.

Fabio scored his first senior goal for Porto in the weekend victory over Famalicão and he is tipped for a bright future in the game, with Atleti and Juve now among the clubs linked.

It is likely Silva will be allowed to develop at Porto for some time yet but Atleti raided the Portuguese giants for Hector Herrera and Felipe Monteiro this summer, while also landing Joao Felix from Benfica.
