Zidane: I said what Mbappe said himself that his dream is to play for Madrid

Zinedine Zidane has responded to Leonardo’s comments about him unsettling Kylian Mbappe.

Zidane had suggested that Mbappe’s dream was to play for Real Madrid and the Paris Saint-Germain sporting director wasn’t happy with how he spoke about the forward.

“I didn’t say anything. I only said what the player said; that his dream was to play here,” Zidane said in his pre-match press conference.

“Then everyone gets what they want.”

Zidane takes his Los Blancos side to Eibar on Saturday looking to win for the second time in four days after beating Galatasaray on Wednesday.

“Every match is difficult. Maybe it’ll be even more [difficult] at Eibar,” Zidane said.

“It’s a different stadium to others. It’s a bit smaller, but it’s always difficult [there].

“We’re ready to play a good match.”
