Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale has become so annoyed with being unable to cover his baldness with his ‘man bun’ hairstyle he is considering a hair transplant, according to a source close to the footballer.
The flying Welsh winger, who once sported a shorter cropped style, is said to have grown his hair to cover his baldness.
The 27-year-old is also reported to have been stung after some Twitter users mentioned his thinning locks while he was taking Wales to the Euro 2016 semi-finals last summer.
It is believed the former Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton forward sought advice from Welsh teammate Joe Ledley who recommended KSL Hair, who charge £10,000 for the treatment.
KSL have clinics in Cardiff, Glasgow and Kent and the Champions League winner is set to follow Ledley’s suggestion when the La Liga season finishes.
The source said: ‘Gareth’s been speaking to Joe, who has taken the plunge to book an appointment.
‘He’s followed suit and has it lined up after his season finishes in May.’
‘Both of them will be out the limelight for a while so it gives the hair plenty of time to settle in while the cameras aren’t watching them every week.’
Should Bale proceed with the treatment he will be following in the footsteps of Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney and Chelsea boss Antonio Conte who have famously had their receding hairlines restored to former glories with transplants.
