Liverpool supporters are reportedly removing their flags from the Kop in a protest against the Super League.

The Reds are one of the 12 clubs who are breaking away from the UEFA and FIFA to join as one of six English founding clubs in the new European Super League project.

Juventus, Milan and Inter are the three Serie A teams who have decided to participate in the European Super League.

Liverpool Echo reports Spirit of Shankly have released a statement expressing their disapproval and Spion Kop 1906 have also acted against the news.

They have let the fans know they will be removing the flags that has been in place since Project Restart last season in the absence of fans.

“We, along with other groups involved in flags, will be removing our flags from The Kop,” they wrote on Twitter.

“We feel we can no longer give our support to a club which puts financial greed above integrity of the game.”
