Christian Eriksen has been one of the most talked about names in the world of football during 2021.

The Danish midfielder suffered a heart attack during the European Championship, but thankfully miraculously survived thanks to the prompt intervention of the medical staff.

Eriksen has been operated on and his condition is already good, but he can not play in Italy.

The Dane has been out of action since June 12 when he suffered a heart attack in the Denmark-Finland challenge.

Anyway, now the player has returned to his homeland, where he started training with his former team Odense.

“We are happy he is keeping fit with us,” said Odense sporting director Michael Hemmingsen.

“We have maintained constant contact with Christian since he left and therefore we are happy that he asked us if he could train with us to keep fit,” Hemmingsen continued.

Eriksen left Odense in the summer of 2009 for 1.5 million euros, joining Ajax, then made a career for Tottenham Hotspur and Inter.

The 29-year-old is under contract with Inter until June 2024, but a rule in Serie A does not allow players with heart problems to be activated.

FIFA insurance covers his salary of seven million euros per year and the player will discuss the contract with Inter in the coming weeks, as he has no right to play in Italy
