Tottenham is making “free place” for Bale

Italian outlet CMW say Juventus want a double deal for Tottenham targets and Eintracht Frankfurt duo Filip Kostic and Evan Ndicka – costing a combined fee between £30million and £33million.

Frankfurt are riding the wave at the moment, after beating Rangers to win the Europa League and qualify for next season’s Champions League. However, there is likely to be a turnover of players this summer.

Not least, because Kostic and Ndicka are both out of contract in 2023. Ndicka, 22, is left-footed and reports over the weekend suggested that Spurs were considering a move. That is, after missing out on Alessandro Bastoni.

Meanwhile, Kostic is a long-term target at Spurs. 22 goal involvements last term, Kostic – compared to Bale – will turn 30 in November but is seen as possible competition to Ryan Sessegnon and Ivan Perisic on the left.

However, Spurs could now miss out on both to Fabio Paratici, Antonio Conte, Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur’s old club Juventus. The Old Lady are confident of a double deal, worth between £30million and £33million.

Do Spurs need both? The signing of Perisic and the end-of-season form of Sessegnon – as well as Sergio Reguilon – suggests Spurs do not need another left wing-back. Kostic is a brilliant player, but is hardly necessary.

Ndicka, much more so. He fits the calibre of player that Paratici wants – experienced, but young, between 20 and 25. With 149 senior games under his belt, he is the ideal left-footed centre-back this summer.
