PSG’s boss, Al Khelaifi: I refused Real Madrid offed of 180M euro for Mbappe only for this reason

Kylian Mbappe turned down Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain extended his contract expiring until 2025. PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has now clarified this!

Real Madrid approached Kylian Mbappes long and hard. After the Kings had to concede defeat last summer, despite a huge offer for Paris Saint-Germain, many around the Spanish record champions assumed that Mbappe would come on a free transfer at the end of June 2022 when his contract expired.

But surprisingly, the 23-year-old extended his contract with PSG for three years. Real Madrid was left behind again, to the delight of Nasser Al-Khelaifi. In an interview with Marca, the PSG president said:

“I turned down 180 million euros from Real Madrid last summer because I knew Kylian wanted to stay at PSG. “I know him very well, I know what he and his family want and they are not driven by money.”

Mbappe decided “here for his city, his club and his country as well as for the sports project”, said Al-Khelaifi, who should apply salt to Real Madrid’s wound with his latest statements.
