The experienced Umbrian defender, who leaves Inter after 223 appearances in all competitions, has signed a contract until 30 June 2024. Born in Assisi on 16 February 1988, he made his professional debut with Arezzo under Antonio Conte , who made his Serie B debut at the age of 18.

After six months with rossoblù, in January 2011, Ranocchia officially began his adventure with the Nerazzurri, which will last eleven seasons, with two seasons at Sampdoria in 2016 and in England, at Hull City, in 2017.
At Inter, Ranocchia inherits Zanetti’s captain’s armband, holding him in the 2014-15 season and winning one Scudetto, one Italian Super Cup and two Italian Cups, the last won on May 11 against Juventus.
He has a total of 215 appearances in Serie A, 34 between the Champions and Europa League and has also worn the national team jersey 21 times. Ranocchia is now joining the newly promoted Monza in Serie A, bringing experience, personality and a winning mentality
