Barcelona will soon finalize the transfers of two players, claims Fabrizio Romano. As previously announced, Ivory Coast Milan midfielder Frank Casey, 25, and Chelsea Denmark stopper Andreas Christensen, 26, will sign as free agents for the Catalan club. They should be officially presented soon.
Barcelona fans feared that the club would not be able to register them because several weeks had passed since the announcement that everything had been agreed and nothing had happened. However, Romano says that Barça immediately told the players and their agents that there would be no problems.
All this is happening while Barcelona is in negotiations for two big transfers, one incoming and one outgoing. The club is negotiating with Bayern to buy Robert Lewandowski, and with Manchester United to sell Frankie de Jong.
Casey is coming to Barcelona after five seasons in Milan, for which he paid Atalanta 32 million euros. He scored 37 goals in 223 appearances for Milan. Christensen has been a Chelsea player for 10 years. He made his debut for the senior team in 2014 and had a two-year loan at Borussia Monchengladbach. He played 160 times for Chelsea and scored two goals.
