Cristiano Ronaldo received a six-figure sum as a bonus, days before he requested a transfer from Manchester United.
The bonus is for the second season of the deal which officially starts on July 1st and despite the fact that he agreed with United in August last year, practically not a year has passed since he returned from Old Trafford. Upon his transfer to Old Trafford, Ronaldo accepted a significant pay cut compared to Juventus, almost 50%, but part of the difference was covered by various annual bonuses.
The club now continues to claim that Ronaldo is not for sale, but no one has any idea when or if he will join the preparations for the new season. The team is currently in Thailand where they will play against Liverpool on Tuesday, and so far no club has sent an official offer for Ronaldo.
