Italian “Calcomercato” writes that the transfer of Frankie de Jong from Barcelona to Manchester United is further away from realization. The clubs have long agreed the compensation for the Dutch midfielder, but he himself does not agree with the terms offered by the Englishmen, and the fact that he will not play in the Champions League this season is reportedly turning him away from United.

First on the list of United’s alternatives, according to “Calcomercato”, could be Serbian midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, a long-time member of Lazio who is increasingly serving as captain at the Roman club. His agent Mateja Kežman could submit an official offer for his client to the club these days.

Previously, Lazio demanded 100 million, but the price is now about 30 million lower. The 27-year-old midfielder has a valid contract with Lazio until the end of June 2024, and the club will surely try to make good money from him.
