David De Gea is getting closer to the option of leaving Old Trafford as a free agent next summer.

The Spaniard’s contract expires in June next year, there is the possibility of an automatic extension for another year, but Manchester United are not ready to activate that option.

De Gea has been at United since July 2011, when he joined from Atletico Madrid for 25 million euros.

It is mentioned that Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa is United’s priority for the new “unit”. So far, there is no information about interest in the 32-year-old De Gea.
