The Glazer family recently confirmed that they are expecting offers to sell Manchester United, but it seems that things are not going as they hoped.
Representatives of the family have announced that they will not negotiate with potential buyers who will offer less than 6 billion pounds, and so far such an offer has not arrived at their address, although it is relatively early and it was announced that negotiations would begin in April at the earliest. Conglomerates from the Middle and Far East were mentioned, but there was no interest from there either, and fans hoped that the richest Briton, Jim Ratcliffe, would enter the race for, as he himself says, his favorite club.
He had a conversation with a member of the Glazer family, but still in Manchester he is not considered a serious buyer. First of all because of the price because few people believe that despite his huge wealth he would pay 6 billion pounds for a football club, and then because in the summer he was reportedly interested in buying Chelsea, and he joined the race after the offers were known and the deadline ended for their submission.
Even if he buys Manchester United, Ratcliffe does not intend to invest serious sums in the club to buy expensive players, but to make money from sales, as he is doing now in Nice, which he owns. It does not go in favor of Manchester United fans who have been waiting for a title in the Premier League for 11 years and hope that the club will finally return to the championship paths.
