Inter beat Fiorentina and win the first trophy of the season

For the ninth time in the club’s history, Inter has won the Coppa Italia trophy by defeating Fiorentina in the final held at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

The Nerazzurri won by a comeback, as it was the Viola team that scored first. Nicolas Gonzalez received a ball from Jonathan Ikone and scored from close range (3′).

The scores were leveled in the 29th minute when Lautaro Martinez was accurate from inside the box after receiving a good assist from Marcelo Brozovic.

The Nerazzurri turned the score in their favor with Lautaro Martinez’s second personal goal. The Argentine scored a beautiful goal after an assist from Nicolo Barella (37′).

The cases continued in the second half with Viola creating several opportunities in an attempt to equalize the result, but without success.

This is the first trophy of the 2022/2023 season for Inter, which also plays in the Champions League final (June 10 in Istanbul) against Manchester City.

The chance for a trophy is not over for Fiorentina, as on June 7 in Prague they will play the Conference League final against West Ham United.
