Di Maria set to leave Juventus

Juventus has decided not to extend Angel Di Maria’s contract – the transfer analyst of the Old Lady, Romeo Agresti, has announced.

El Fideo signed a one-year contract last summer, moving to the Allianz Stadium on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.

The 35-year-old has had his ups and downs in the white shirt, scoring eight goals and providing seven assists in 38 appearances in all competitions.

Agresti claims that Di Maria will leave at the end of June, while his staff have already begun to consider possible options.

The directors have based their decision on age and salary (about seven million euros per season), as well as inconsistent performances during the season we are leaving behind.

In the 2023/2024 edition, Juventus will start a new strategy by engaging new players, with lower salaries, because they are not expected to play in the Champions League after the removal of 10 points.
