The Portuguese forward has agreed to sign a new deal with the Reds, extending his stay at the San Siro until 2028.

The Rossoneri were supposed to confirm the extension of the striker’s contract today, but the official announcement has been postponed by a few days.

However, there is no doubt that Leao will sign a new deal with the San Siro club.

According to Friday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper, Leao will have a release clause of €170 million in his new contract with the Serie A giants, although it could rise to €175 million.

It will be valid only in July. Leao’s previous release clause was 150 million euros.

The 23-year-old will receive a significant salary increase, from 1.5 million euros per season to seven million euros, becoming the biggest earner at Milanello.
