The Athletic report that Southampton have rejected Liverpool’s opening bid to sign Romeo Lavian.

The Reds offered 43 million euros, while The Saints want 55 million for the 19-year-old.

The conditions of the midfielder’s contract with Liverpool “will not be a problem”, the medium further informs.

Lavia made 29 Premier League appearances in his debut season for Southampton.

Despite Saints being relegated, he established himself as one of the best players in the team.

Amazingly, last September, Southampton rejected a €55m bid from Chelsea, who wanted the player despite him signing for them just weeks before.
