Al-Hilal have reportedly contacted Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis to make an offer for their striker Victor Osimhen.

The Saudi club, backed by sovereign wealth fund PIF, were recently interested in making a move for Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe, but were forced to change targets after he refused to open talks.

The latest rumors suggest that Al-Hilal have shifted their focus to Osimhen, who was the star of Napoli’s Scudetto-winning season last season, scoring 26 goals in 32 league games.

According to Il Mattino, Al-Hilal approached Napoli president De Laurentiis to propose a deal worth around €130 million for Osimhen, an offer that was swiftly rejected.

Napoli will not sell the Nigerian striker this summer and are currently working to tie him down to a new long-term contract. It is valued at around 200 million euros.

A long list of players have already left Europe for the Saudi Arabian Super League this summer, such as Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Roberto Firmino, Kalidou Koulibaly or Riyad Mahrez.
