Real Madrid is going into the new season with no shortage of emotions, but also a lot of doubts. However, the message coming from within the camp has been universally positive.
Los Blancos started the pre-season well against Milan and Manchester United, showing a new system with Jude Bellingham at the top of the midfield diamond, but lost 3-0 in El Clasico against Barcelona. However, after hitting the post on five occasions, there was little concern from Los Blancos.
Aurelien Tchouameni was positive in their preparation for the new season.
“We are working well these days with fitness coach Antonio Pintus and the training staff, we are happy. We don’t play ‘friendly’ matches because we are facing good teams and we want to do well. We are working very well in training and we want to do the same in the games”, said Tchouameni first.
“We are playing well in the pre-season. We are using a new system and we have to learn every day how to play in this system. We have an incredible team and I’m sure we’ll have an incredible season.”
“I think we have the best midfield in the world, with legends like Luka Modric and Toni Kroos. We learn from them every day.”
“We also have youngsters who have an incredible level like Bellingham, Camavinga, Valverde, Ceballos and myself. We will do well this season”, concluded the French midfielder.
Alternatively, if Tchouameni can maintain his form from pre-season, he could keep his place, but at this point it’s hard to argue against the Frenchman’s valuation.
