Manchester City has managed to win the treble this edition by triumphing in the English championship, the FA Cup and recently in the Champions League.

The hero of the grand final was the Spanish midfielder Rodri who scored a spectacular goal against Inter.

The Spanish representative has said that he has seen his goal in the final in all the languages of the world, adding that he has replayed the goal 5,000 times.

“I have seen the goal 5000 times. In all different languages: Spanish, English, German, Italian. I think it’s special, it’s part of football to enjoy these kinds of moments, especially as a defensive midfielder, where you don’t feel like you’re going to be decisive.”

“Now when I go on vacation the fans sing my song. So life has changed for me in a sense. But I hope I still have the calmness I’ve always been characterized by. I would like to stop for a few months to analyze what happened, but everything goes very quickly”, declared Rodri.

Rodri has admitted that he was not at the right level during the final with Inter and for this he was scolded several times by coach Pep Guardiola.

“I know what I can bring to the team and I was not satisfied with my performance. In a final, the team needs the best from you, so I was self-critical.”

“The coach at that moment was very direct and said: ‘Take a step forward.’ In these moments you have to be strong, to accept criticism when the team suffers”, concluded the Spanish midfielder.
