The start of the 2023/24 season for Arsenal will not be good, as they have received some bitter news recently and it has also been confirmed by Mikel Arteta.
The Spanish coach has said at the press conference that Gabriel Jesus will be absent for several weeks due to an injury, until the start of the Premier League is a week away.
“He had a small procedure this morning, unfortunately he was injured,” Arteta announced.
“He’s had some problems with his knee which caused him some problems, so he has to have some tests. He will be out for a few weeks,” he added.
Jesus missed the Emirates Cup win against Monaco today. His injury is a huge blow for Arsenal who are also missing Alexander Zinchenko.
The Brazilian missed months last season after an injury at the World Cup in Qatar.
