Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique has confirmed that Kylian Mbappe will not be invited for this weekend’s Ligue 1 match against Lorient.

The French forward has been forced to train separately from Enrique’s first team alongside Julien Draxler, Gini Wijnaldum and Leandro Paredes.

Now the Spanish coach has confirmed that Mbappe will not play in PSG’s Ligue 1 opener against Lorient, but he hopes the striker will find an amicable solution so he can play again at the Parc des Princes.

“I hope and wish that, like in the past [last summer], the same thing happens again and that the club and the player reach an agreement. This is what I would like.”

“The philosophy of this club is very clear: the club is bigger than any player, any coach and this is something I agree with,” Enrique told reporters.

It has also been reported that PSG have already informed big-name players including Neymar, Marco Verratti, Hugo Ekitike, Juan Bernat and Renato Sanches that they are surplus to requirements and are free to seek new teams.
